Q. How do I know for sure I am pregnant?
A. Pregnancy Solutions offers a hospital grade urine test that can confirm pregnancy. Our pregnancy tests are free and you will receive your test results that same day during your visit.
Q. What if I am pregnant and don't know what to do?
A. We have trained Client Advocates who can sit down and discuss all of your options with you. If your test comes back positive, you have three options. You can choose to parent, have an abortion or place your child for adoption. We have information on all of these options that we can share with you at your appointment.
Q. Do I need an appointment or can I just walk in?
A. We encourage you to make an appointment. However, if you do not want to schedule ahead of time, you are welcome to walk in any time during our open hours.
Q. What can Pregnancy Solutions do to help me?
A. Pregnancy Solutions has many services that may be helpful to you. All of our services are free and confidential. We offer hospital grade urine pregnancy testing to confirm you are pregnant. We offer limited scan ultrasounds to those who qualify to determine how far along you are. We offer accurate and up-to-date information on all of your pregnancy options. We also have parenting classes for on-going support and material assistance to help with the financial cost of having a baby. If you need to find an OB/GYN or enroll in assistance programs, we can refer you, as well as adoption information and referrals if you are considering placing your baby for adoption.
Q. What is an ultrasound and why do I need one?
A. An ultrasound is a machine that uses sound waves to create an image of the inside of your body. If your test comes back positive, having a limited scan ultrasound is important for a couple of reasons. An ultrasound can determine how far along in pregnancy you are by taking specific measurements. It can also determine if you have a viable, intrauterine pregnancy (inside the uterus, and not a tubal pregnancy), and if there is a fetal heartbeat. Ultrasounds are simple and not painful and are very important for deciding what your next step is in your pregnancy.
Q. I can't afford a baby; can you help me with that?
A. The financial side to having a baby might feel really overwhelming to you, but you do not have to do it alone and you have time to prepare. We have a parenting program at Pregnancy Solutions called “Earn While You Learn”. It is an easy, video based program where you will learn amazing information about becoming a parent and earn items such as diapers, wipes, formula, baby clothes and more. There are other programs such as WIC, Medicaid, Food Stamps and Healthy Start that we can refer you to as well. There is a lot of help available so do not feel like you have to do this all on your own.
Q. Someone is pressuring me to have an abortion, what should I do?
A. It is your choice and no one can pressure you to have an abortion. People close to you may offer opinions or try to tell you what to do, but no one can force you into having an abortion, not even your parents, family members or your boyfriend/husband.
Q. I am a minor, will you tell my parents?
A. No, all of our services are confidential regardless of your age. We will not provide any information to anyone without your written consent. Even though you are a minor, you have the right to confidential help except in those rare cases where mandatory reporting applies.
Q. Can I bring a friend?
A. Yes, you can bring anyone you would like with you to your appointment. It is important to have the support of those who are close with you. Even if you bring someone with you, anything discussed during your visit will remain confidential.
Q. Do I need to bring anything with me when I come?
A. The only thing we ask you to bring is a photo I.D.
Q. How much will my visit cost?
A. Nothing! All of our services are free.
Q. How do I know what the right choice for me is?
A. There are many different things to consider when making this decision about your pregnancy. You may feel scared, confused and alone. You are not in this alone! We are here to provide you with accurate information on all of your options in a safe, non-judgmental environment. We believe that knowledge is empowering so we are here to help you educate yourself without feeling any pressure.

A. So you just found out she is pregnant…what should you do? You may feel like you have no say in her decision, but you do.
