FAQ
A. Pregnancy Solutions offers a hospital-grade urine test that can confirm pregnancy. Our pregnancy tests are free, and you will receive your test results that same day during your visit.
A. We have trained Client Advocates who can sit down and discuss all of your options with you. If your test comes back positive, you have four options. You can choose to parent, have an abortion, place your child for adoption, or place your child with Bundles of Hope. We have information on all of these options that we can share with you at your appointment.
A. We encourage you to make an appointment. However, if you do not want to schedule ahead of time, you are welcome to walk in any time during our open hours.
A. Pregnancy Solutions has many services that may be helpful to you. All of our services are free and confidential. We offer hospital-grade urine pregnancy testing to confirm your pregnancy. We offer limited scan ultrasounds to those who qualify to determine how far along you are. We offer accurate and up-to-date information on all of your pregnancy options. We also have parenting classes for ongoing support and material assistance to help with the financial cost of having a baby. If you need help with birth planning or lactation, our medical team can go over information with you to help you feel confident and prepared. If you need to find an OB/GYN or enroll in assistance programs, we can refer you, as well as provide adoption information and referrals if you are considering placing your baby for adoption.
A. An ultrasound is a machine that uses sound waves to create an image of the inside of your body. If your test comes back positive, having a limited scan ultrasound is important for a couple of reasons. An ultrasound can determine how far along in pregnancy you are by taking specific measurements. It can also determine if you have a viable, intrauterine pregnancy (inside the uterus, and not a tubal pregnancy), and if there is a fetal heartbeat. Ultrasounds are simple and not painful and are very important for deciding what your next step is in your pregnancy.
A. The financial side to having a baby might feel really overwhelming to you, but you do not have to do it alone and you have time to prepare. We have a parenting program at Pregnancy Solutions called “Earn While You Learn”. It is an easy, video based program where you will learn amazing information about becoming a parent and earn items such as diapers, wipes, formula, baby clothes and more. There are other programs such as WIC, Medicaid, Food Stamps and Healthy Start that we can refer you to as well. There is a lot of help available so do not feel like you have to do this all on your own.
A. It is your choice and no one can pressure you to have an abortion. People close to you may offer opinions or try to tell you what to do, but no one can force you into having an abortion, not even your parents, family members or your boyfriend/husband.
A. No, all of our services are confidential regardless of your age. We will not provide any information to anyone without your written consent. Even though you are a minor, you have the right to confidential help except in those rare cases where mandatory reporting applies.
A. Yes, you can bring anyone you would like with you to your appointment. It is important to have the support of those who are close with you. Even if you bring someone with you, anything discussed during your visit will remain confidential.
A. The only thing we ask you to bring is a photo I.D.
A. Nothing! All of our services are free.

For Guys
A. So you just found out she is pregnant…what should you do? You may feel like you have no say in her decision, but you do. Yes, it is her choice in the end but you have the responsibility to speak up and be involved in the decision-making process with her. The fact is, her choice will affect you as well.
So what can you do?
Decide to speak up and participate in the decision making process. Let her know that you do care and that you want to help her not feel alone in this.
Determine to educate yourself on all of the options and share the facts with her as well. Whatever choice she makes could have lasting effects on both of you.
Dedicate yourself to supporting, encouraging and standing by her. This will likely be a difficult time for both of you and she needs you.
A lot of guys think that she wants you to say “it’s up to you, whatever you choose.” What she likely wants to hear from you is “We can do this together. I will stand by you and be the best dad that I can be.”
We are here for you. If you need someone to talk to, we have volunteers who are willing to sit down with you one-on-one and help you sort through all of your options. We are also here for on-going support, no matter what choice you decide to make. Give us a call today at 941.408.7100. All of our services are free and confidential.
For Parents
A. She is pregnant and you are shocked. Stop and breathe before you react. Your initial response will play a huge role in your daughter’s decision and in your relationship with her. It is normal to feel upset or disappointed but try to put yourself in her shoes and try to understand her fears.
Remember…
Your daughter needs you to support her right now. She needs to know that you guys will get through this… together.
You can be her advocate. As people find out they will have their own advice and opinions. Stand beside her and be a voice for her, looking out for your family’s best interest.
You can get through this. Although this may have come as a surprise to you, be encouraged – many families have been through this and have come out stronger on the other side.
We are here to help. Don’t face this alone. We are here with the resources and support you need to determine your next steps. Call us today at 941.408.7100.
