Free Limited Obstetric Ultrasound

After receiving a positive pregnancy test in our center, the next important step is obtaining an ultrasound to confirm the pregnancy. Our trained and certified sonographers will perform a non-diagnostic ultrasound to provide you with necessary knowledge regarding your pregnancy.

Why do I need an ultrasound?

The only way to truly verify a pregnancy is through Ultrasound. If you are considering abortion, you need to verify placement, dating, and viability prior to making a decision. If you are considering parenting or placing your baby for adoption, an ultrasound will provide you with the documentation needed to proceed with your next steps.

There are three things you need to know in order to make an educated decision about your pregnancy:
Is the pregnancy in the uterus?
How many weeks am I?
Is there a heartbeat?

A pregnancy outside of the uterus is called an ectopic pregnancy and can be life threatening. Abortion medications do not remove an ectopic pregnancy. Medical treatment is required for this condition.

Fetal measurements are taken to determine gestational age. This is important to know because it determines what type of procedures you may be eligible for.

Around one in four pregnancies ends on its own naturally. It is important to know if your pregnancy has progressed before deciding on a course of action.

Do I need an ultrasound before considering the abortion pill?

Considering a chemical abortion without first having an ultrasound to verify viability and gestational age can be dangerous.

Risks of taking Chemical Abortion Pills Without Having an Ultrasound:

  • Ectopic Pregnancy
  • Incomplete Abortion
  • Infection
  • Hemorrhaging
